Two amateur fishermen died drowned at the weekend, one in Cahul and the other in Stefan Voda district. Dorina Sochirca, press officer of the Civil Protection and Exceptional Situation Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the first case happened on Saturday, in Crocmaz village from Stefan Voda. The 40 year old man went to the Nistru River to catch crabs and drowned. The body wasn’t found. The second death happened on Sunday, in Pascani, Cahul district. A 33 year old man drowned in the local canal. Town hall employees say the man was from Cahul and came to the village to fish. His body was found by lifeguards a few hours after his drowning.
