Two businessmen from Causeni hire ‘killer’ to murder opponent

Two men aged 59 and 60, who run currency exchange facilities in Causeni town, planned the murder of a 35-year-old businessman who worked in the same area. The suspects were followed by the police during several weeks. The victim was informed about the created situation and this agreed to cooperate with the police, IPN reports.

According to the National Investigations Inspectorates, the suspects were to pay US$5,000 to a killer for the murder. They were dissatisfied with the competition that the man created to them.

The police arrested one of the suspects when this met with the ‘killer’, who was actually a policeman under cover. The second suspect was arrested later, when this was waiting for the confirmation of the death, inside a currency exchange facility that belonged to him.

The suspects face 15 to 20 years in jail or life for planning a murder by order.
