Two cars left at a car park near the Oncological Hospital in Chisinau caught fire yesterday evening. The cause of fire hasn’t been yet established, but firefighters do not exclude arson. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Diana Turcanu, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, said that the fire occurred at a parking lot located on Testemitanu St in Centru district at about 10.00 on April 10. The fire started on a Mitsubishi car and extended to a Volkswagen. Two firefighting vehicles dealt with the fire. The first car was destroyed almost completely, while the second burned partially. The firefighters do not rule out that the fire was caused by a short circuit or it was an arson attack. An investigation is under way.
