Two Drochia policemen suspected of passive corruption
Two police officers of the Drochia Police Commissariat are suspected of asking 1,000 euros from a person for closing a legal case, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The policemen are investigated by the North Service of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office for passive corruption.
The investigating officer of the Drochia Police Commissariat asked 1,000 euros from the mother of a young man, who was involved in a road accident. The money was given to a police officer of the Judicial Police Service of the Drochia Commissariat, who was to pass it on to the investigating officer.
The police officers were caught red-handed and charged on the same day.
