Two grand concerts during Romanian Language Day in Chisinau

The Chisinau City Hall, beside other events celebrating the Romanian Language Day, will organize two grand concerts on August 29 and 30. Music lovers will be able to go to concerts “O, libertate, sfinta libertate” (“Oh, freedom, holy freedom”) and “I, culture orchestra” at the “Nicolae Sulac” National Palace, reports Info-Prim Neo. The 19-year-old prodigy conductor Ilyich Rivas will conduct the show on August 29. The concert is part of a tour supported by Polish President Bronisław Komorowski. Local organizers stated at a press conference that negotiations to bring this concert to Chisinau had started as early as January. Meanwhile, the City Hall covers part of the expenses for the concert’s organization, in order to ensure that the ticket price is a symbolic one, allowing more people to go to the concert. The concerts program contains compositions like Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet” overture-fantasia, Ottorino Respigni’s “Fountains of Rome” symphonic poem, and others. Youth from 7 countries will participate in this concert. The concert on August 30 – “O, libertate, sfinta libertate” – according to the organizers is an attempt and challenge for the young Moldova performers selected to perform. Thus, stars like Eugen Doga, Anastasia Lazariuc, Anatol Dumitras and Iurie Sadovnic will be accompanied by performers such as Catalin Josan, Valentina Nafornita, Vali Boghean, Radu Dolgan, Cristi Aldea-Teodorovici, Acord band, Codreanca, and others. Tickets are already available for purchase from the National Palace’s ticket booths.
