Two men lost their lives last weekend
Last weekend was a tragic one for two families. A man died from carbon monoxide poisoning in the Gagauz village Tomai, while another one drowned in a lake near Zloti village of Cimislia district.
Dorina Cruc, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that one of the men, 49, went to the lake together with several friends of his. He was taken out of the water quickly, but could not be saved.
The other man, 66, was discovered dead in his bed after the firefighters put out the fire. Allegedly, the fire was caused by a burning cigarette.
A 48-year-old man from Fundurii, Glodeni, was rescued from fire by firefighters.
The 802 fires that happened in Moldova this year resulted in 91 persons dead. Twenty-eight persons drowned.
