The minibus routes No. 134 and 175 were suspended Friday after sanitary doctors ascertained that the drivers do not observe the hygiene rules to prevent pandemic flu, Eudochia Tkach, deputy director of the Municipal Preventive Medicine Center, has told Info-Prim Neo. One day earlier, route No. 110 was suspended for the same reasons. Sanitary doctors of the Preventive Medicine Center checked six routes on Friday and identified irregularities in the minibuses working on two of them. “The vehicles are not being disinfected and aired. The drivers do not have the necessary disinfectants and do not take prophylaxis measures,” Eudochia Tkach said. The minibuses will work again after the identified irregularities are removed. The 45 minibuses traveling on route No. 110 complied with the Preventive Medicine Center's decision. The drivers supplied the units of transport with disinfectants and cleaned them, said sanitary doctor Ion Targara. According to him, the 45 minibuses will start work after the suspension decision is abrogated. The Municipal Preventive Medicine Center will continue checking the minibus routes. There are about 300 minibus routes in Chisinau at present.
