A cart driver aged 58 died on the spot when his cart was struck by a vehicle in the evening of October 9. The accident happened in Cucioaia village of Telenesti district, IPN reports.

Anatolie Bunduchi, head of the Prosecution Division of the Telenesti Police Inspectorate, said that according to the first investigations, the cart was hit when it was illegally crossing the street laterally. The cart didn’t have reflectors and the driver also didn’t have a reflective vest. As a result of the collision, parts of the cart scattered all over the road.

Press officer of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Diana Fetco said that the same evening, a car driven by a 30-year-old man struck a pedestrian walking on the roadway in Ratus village of Telenesti district. The victim in his 50s died at the scene. An investigation is under way.
