Two young men foiled in attempt to illegally enter Romania
A boy aged 12 and a 19-year-old man tried to illegally cross the border with Romania. They were stopped by employees of the Border Guard Service on the bank of the Prut, near Cahul, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Service.
The young men did not have identification papers on them. They said they were inhabitants of Crihana Veche village. They had a compass, a map of Europe, pocket money and intended to 'borrow' a boat to cross the river and enter Romania.
The border guards took the two young men to the picket post and informed the minor's parents. They found out that the boy went missing two days ago. The young men are now held at the police commissariat in Cahul.
