The coach of the national U-21 football squad of Moldova Alexandr Kurteyan has announced the line-up that will take part in the 2013 Cup of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Baltic States. The competition will take place in Russia’s Saint-Petersburg on January 18-27. The coach summoned 20 players, including two goalkeepers, seven fullbacks, nine halfbacks, and two strikers. The footballers represent the clubs Zimbru, Sheriff Tiraspol, Dinamo Kiev, FC Costuleni, Speranta Crihana Veche, Dacia, Dinamo-Auto Tiraspol, Dacia 2 Buiucani, and Academia. The national U-21 squad will play in group C alongside the similar teams of Ukraine, Lithuania, and Turkmenistan. On January 19, Moldova meets Turkmenistan, on January 20 – Ukraine, while on January 22 – Lithuania.
