A citizen of Ukraine going to Italy tried to smuggle a grenade, a pistol and 16 cartridges hidden between underclothes out of Moldova, through the Sculeni border crossing point, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Customs Service. At the customs, the 24-year-old man from Lutsk town said he has nothing to declare than personal belongings. During a check, customs officers found a KRAL Firtina pistol, 16 cartridges and an RGD-5 grenade hidden in his baggage among underwater. The man was driving a BMW car. Last weekend, customs employees foiled eight attempts to smuggle banned objects out of Moldova.
