Eight people died and others were injured after a bus fell into a gorge today at around 8:00am, Info-Prim Neo reports. The bus was traveling to Ungheni town when the accident happened near Moreni village in Ungheni district. Preliminary investigations showed no traces of braking, which means that the driver was either inattentive and didn't see the curve or the brakes did not respond. Investigators and the Traffic Police are further investigating to establish all the circumstances of the accident and those responsible. The Traffic Police and the Interior Ministry are advising bus route administrators to always check the state of vehicles and hire only skilled drivers.
