Union Fenosa to invest over 6m lei in ensuring power supply to flood-hit areas

Union Fenosa SA plans to invest about 6 million lei in restoring the power supply and building new line to the flood-stricken villages located along the Prut. Over 400,000 lei of this sum has been already used to construct an overhead 10 kV power line that is about 3 km long. It will supply power to Nemteni village, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the company. Union Fenosa executive director Silvia Radu said the company intervened swiftly to remedy the difficult situation caused by the floods in Cotul Morii, Nemteni, Obileni and Sarateni villages of Hancesti district and restore the power supply there. Money will be also invested in building overhead 10 kV and 0.4 kV power lines and installing 17 transformers. The company's employees have donated 150,000 lei and different personal hygiene objects to flood victims.
