Unplanned vacation for USM students

The students of the Faculty of Journalism and the Faculty of History of the State University of Moldova (USM) will not go to classes on February 3 because it is very cold in the lecture halls. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the dean of the Faculty of History and Philosophy Igor Sharov said the Faculty’s administration could not take the risk of keeping the students in the halls where the temperature is lower than 15 degrees Celsius. “The failed classes will be taught on some other days, when it is warmer,” said pro-dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences Anette Gonta. If the temperatures drop again, similar measures will be taken. The students in the USM’s dorms complain it is very cold there. They filed complaints to the university’s administration, but no answer has come yet.
