Vlad Filat: Those who don’t like how Government works are free to leave

“Those who don’t like or can’t accept how things work in the Government are free to leave”. This was Prime Minister Vlad Filat’s answer to the statements of First Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Lazar, who claimed Filat played the teacher in front of pupils, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I don’t need people to comment here. I need them to perform their functions as clearly stipulated by law. If irremediable incompatibility occurs or the Government’s activity is hindered, I’ll demand his resignation”, the PM said. The declaration was made on Saturday, after the meeting of PLDM local elected representatives. Vlad Filat mentioned that a statement was adopted regarding the party’s vision on efficient local government. Moreover, a specialized department will be created within the party for communication and collaboration with local officials. The PLDM leader said that his party took the unanimous decision that local alliances will be formed according to people’s vote. “Coalitions will be formed and functions distributed in proportion to the election results”, mentioned Filat. He added that 26 independent mayors joined the Liberal-Democrats, so that PLDM now has 312 mayors throughout the country.
