Vladimir Voronin says Igor Dodon and his team left under someone’s guidance
The Communist Party head Vladimir Voronin said former Communist lawmaker Igor Dodon and his team left the party under somebody’s guidance, not on their own initiative.
“Such plans started to be developed long ago, including with very serious assistance from abroad, but not from Moscow,” Vladimir Voronin told the reporters after he laid flowers at the moment to Lenin on the occasion of the Bolshevik revolution, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Vladimir Voronin said that the defection of the three MPs represents betrayal. According to him, the weakest members left the party, who will do everything for money.
He also said he anticipated that Igor Dodon will defect, but did not expect it from Zinaida Greceanyi and Veronica Abramchuk. “We did not expect it because they are ladies. It is harder for the ladies to betray. The ladies do not betray. They probably had other, more important reasons,” said Vladimir Voronin.
Asked by the journalists if the Communists will vote for Zinaida Greceanyi if she is fielded for the post of President, Vladimir Voronin said this issue will be discussed within the party. “The decision will be taken collectively, as a result of discussions,” he stated.
The Communist leader suggested they will negotiate with the Alliance for European Integration, but it depends on the conditions that the alliance will put forward.
Igor Dodon, Zinaida Greceanyi and Venonica Abramchuk left the Communist parliamentary group last week, arguing they want to contribute to overcoming the political crisis.
