Forecasters issued a yellow code advisory for heat and exceptional risk of fire for this weekend. This covers the whole territory of the country. The highest daytime temperatures will vary between 33-35°C, IPN reports.

According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, southern Moldova will continue to face an exceptional risk of natural fire of the fifth class in forests and agricultural crops. Owing to the shortage of rainwater, the danger of fire will persist on a large part of the territory until September 1.
