No polling places were established in the settlements situated on the right side of the Nistru River that are controlled by the separatist Transnistrian authorities. The voters from these villages will be able to cast their votes in the settlements located nearby.
Press officer of the Central Election Commission Rodica Sarbu has told IPN that the voters from the villages Chitcani and Cremenciug will vote in Copanca village, at the Lyceum “Vasile Alecsandri”. The voters from Gasca village will mark their ballots at the polling place in Farladeni commune. No polling places were set up in Bender.
The voters from Corjova village, which is situated on the left side of the Nistru and is administered by the Moldovan constitutional authorities, will have to go to Cocieri to vote.
In the previous elections, of 2011, the residents of Corjova had been banned by the Transnistrian militia from going to the neighboring village Cocieri to vote during several hours. Afterward, these could vote.
