After encountering a series of difficulties, director Sandu Vasilache is at last ready to present his movie “Wolves and Gods” - one of the two full-length films made by Moldova-Film during the last 15 years, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The movie will be premiered at the Patria cinema in Chisinau on December 15, starting at 18.00. Then it will be screened at the Odeon cinemas in Chisinau, Balti and Cahul. It will be also available on CD.
“Wolves and Gods” is a historical movie about the tragic battles of the Thracians with the Barbarians. It focuses on philosophical and religious themes of the Getians. The main character wants to become a great warrior, a 'wolf'.
The cats includes 18 Moldovan actors. The main parts are played by Bogdan Dascal (Borobestes), Teodor Todercan (Decineus), Silvia Luca (Histia) and Mihai Tarna (representative of the wolves caste).
The movie was produced with great difficulties, including technological and financial, as it had a budget of only 3.5 million lei. However, director Sandu Vasilache considers that the movie is good and will be a success. “I was very demanding with the actors. We endured cold and hunger, but I think it's worth the effort,” he said.
“Wolves and Gods” lasts for 75 minutes and is the second full-length movie made by Moldova-Film Studio during the last 15 years, after the melodrama “Jana” filmed in 2004.
