A woman from Soroca district, who worked in Chisinau, became the 12th victim of flu. She died at the National Clinical Hospital in Chisinau from flu complications on March 8.

Contacted by IPN, the head of the Chisinau Health Division Mihai Moldovanu said that on the 40-year-old woman called an ambulance March 4. She was admitted to the National Clinical Hospital with bilateral pneumonia. The patient was subject to specialized treatment, but her state worsened and she died because of respiratory insufficiency caused by complications associated with the AH1N1 virus.

A man aged 35 from Farladeni village of Causeni district died in the hospital on March 7. The presence of the flu virus was confirmed in the evening of March 9.
