Woman rushed to hospital with hypothermia

A woman who was receiving treatment at a sanatorium was admitted into the hospital with chilblains and hypothermia. Eufalia Negreata, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Emergency Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the 67-year-old woman from Hancesti was improving her health at Speranta sanatorium in Vadul lui Voda town. The sanatorium doctors saw the woman had her feet frost-bitten and called the ambulance. The ambulance crew established that four day ago the woman got her feet frozen while at home in Hancesti. An inebriated man aged 30 was going home and fell into a precipice near Haltei St in Chisinau. Passersby heard him calling for help and called the Rescuers Service and the ambulance. He was taken to the Emergency Hospital with hypothermia. A child aged four was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital after he took pills used by his grandmother. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Emergency Service responded to 794 calls, dealing with 86 cases of acute viral infection, 74 cases of trauma, three strokes and 16 deliveries.
