An increased air population level with solid suspensions was recorded in the municipality of Balti on November 2, warned the State Hydrometeorology Service, which issued a yellow code for this area for the period between 7am and 9pm. Gavril Galca, the head of the Environment Quality Monitoring Division, stated for Info-Prim Neo that the solid suspensions in the air in Balti today exceeded the maximum admissible concentration four times. The residents of the town are recommended to avoid the industrial zones and walk mainly in the green areas. In order to prevent a dangerous concentration of pollutants in the air, the industrial companies are obliged to take measures to reduce noxious emissions in the short term, according to the plans designed for each of them. The traffic police are asked to contribute to the optimum organization of traffic and not to allow the formation of jams, Gavril Galca said.
