A man aged 25 from Frasin village of Dondușeni district died after he was stabbed by the former partner of his girlfriend last night.

Contacted by IPN for details, Svetlana Talpă, press officer of the Dondușeni Police Inspectorate, said the man, a friend of his and his girlfriend went to the home of the ex-concubine of the woman yesterday evening. A quarrel arouse between them. Angry, the owner of the house aged 44 took a kitchen knife and stabbed the young man in the abdomen. This was given first aid by doctors, but could not be saved.

The stabber faces 12 to 15 years in jail for causing serious bodily injuries that resulted in death.
