Young man suspected of selling diesel fuel illegally
A young man from Truseni village of Chisinau municipality was caught selling diesel fuel illegally for 15 lei a liter, which is by almost 1.5 lei cheaper than at filling stations, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime, the man sold about 1 tonne of diesel fuel to owners of trucks and tractors and administrators of minibuses running on the Truseni-Chisinau route.
The fuel was sold in the street from a tank with a mechanic meter. The tank was transported by a minibus without documents of origin, certificates of compliance and other documents required to sell oil products.
The young man faces a fine of 2 000 to 3 000 lei.
A similar case was recently discovered in Durlesti town of Chisinau municipality, where a man sold about 1 000 litters of diesel fuel without documents of origin.
