The prosecutors completed the investigation into the case of a 21-year-old man who injured a passerby from a pneumatic gun in Chisinau and sent the criminal case to court, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office, the man fired several shots at a passerby from the balcony of an apartment situated on Moscovei Blvd. The victim was lucky to suffer minor injuries and didn’t need hospitalization.

The police established that the man who shot was from Drochia and had been earlier tried. The young man told the police that he was aiming at doves, but shot the passerby by mistake.  

A criminal case was started against the young man over hooliganism, which is punished with 3 to 7 years behind bars. The legislation does not oblige having a permit for buying and using pneumatic guns.
