Young people from 14 countries came together in Chisinau for the second International Forum “Young Leader of the 21st Century”. The event is hosted by the Youth Government of Moldova. The organization’s head Veaceslav Cretu said the participants want to create a platform whereby to offer development opportunities to the youth, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“We want to have skilled young people who are able to solve any problem for an efficient government, regardless of the circumstances. We want to have young people who will be proficient in economy, justice, education and many other areas,” said the young man.
Ion State, chairman of the Youth Organization of Constanta, Romania, said their organization deals mainly with sport. “One of the main objectives of this forum is to help young people from all the participating countries to get acquainted. The aim is to form young leaders, who are the future. It is important that the young people take an active part in the social and political life and in all the sectors of society,” he stated.
Secretary of the Youth Organization of Russia Mihail Guskov said the young persons who take part in the forum meet every year within different projects to communicate and develop their skills. The Moldovan young people took part in the project “Training for Leaders” and implement in Moldova the knowledge they acquired within it.
The forum lasts from March 31 until April 1. The event involves NGOs from 14 counties, counting Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Turkey, Iran, and the United States.
