The young people who intend to apply for a scholarship to study at one of the top business schools in the U.S. through the MBA Seed Grant Program of the WNISEF Fund must be motivated by intellectual challenges and must come from different educational, social, economic and cultural environments. According to the program’s coordinator Roman Tychkivskyy, the applicants can be of any age and nationality, but must have leadership abilities, IPN reports.
The applicants must have been involved in different social and professional activities and must show capacity to work together, by clearly understanding the goal. To obtain a scholarship through the MBA Seed Grant Program, the applicant must not only be accepted at one of the top 50 U.S. business schools, but must also pledge to return to Moldova for a period of at least three years to work and apply the gained knowledge, abilities and aptitudes in the country.
“Anyone can apply for the MBA program. There are no age, gender or other limits in applying to the business schools. In the case of the Republic of Moldova, applicants can be the citizens who live here, but also those who live abroad, but intend to return home after completing the MBA studies,” Roman Tychkivskyy said in a news conference at IPN.
All those who are eligible to get a Grant Seed of WNISEF will be interviewed. The interviews take place exclusively based on the invitation of the Grants Committee and only after preliminarily examining the application form submitted through web www.seedgrant.md.
The program covers up to 100% of the costs of studies. The costs related to accommodation, transport to and from the U.S and on the territory of the state are covered by the scholars. During the program, the scholars are obliged to present extracts about the academic standing to prove their performance. If a student does not keep the status of exemplary academic performance, this will have to immediately return any type of financial support offered through the Grant Seed Program.
The program is financed by the U.S. Government through the United States Agency for International Development. The best 40 students from Moldova and Ukraine will benefit from scholarships to study at the best business schools in the U.S. In Moldova the program was presented six months ago, but there was no Moldovan applicant so far.
