Young teachers complain they are assigned few class hours

Prime Minister Vlad Filat has requested from the Ministry of Education a comprehensive report on the conditions created for attracting young teachers into educational institutions, including not just financial incentives, but also a fair distribution of class hours, Info-Prim Neo reports. Filat said in particular that young teachers have complained to the Government that they are assigned few class hours, which impacts negatively on their salary. The reform strategy in education will be discussed next week in a meeting at the Ministry of Education with the participation of Prime Minister Vlad Filat. Under the new Education Code, all teachers in schools must work an eight-hour day, a measure which is expected to remove the problem.
