A 29-year-old woman from Drochia is suspected of recruiting women aged between 20 and 30 from rural areas to prostitute themselves abroad. The women were from families with a difficult financial situation, IPN reports.

During investigations, officers of the Border Police followed four citizens of Moldova and Turkey aged between 29 and 35 who convinced a number of Moldovan women to provide sexual services in Antalya.

The suspects prepared travel documents and purchased for the young women tickets to Turkey from the Russian Federation so as to hide the real goal of the trip. During searches at an apartment rented by the woman from Drochia, who played the role of a leader, the Border Police employees identified three young women who were potential victims.

The investigations continue so as to identify all those involved in this case.
