A 27-year-old woman was sentenced to eight years in jail for murdering her mother, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the woman worked abroad and left her daughter in her mother's care. In April 2009, the woman returned home. After drinking alcohol together, she started to argue with her mother, accusing her of being violent towards her daughter. The woman took a knife and stabbed her mother to death. Afterward, she was helped by her husband to take the body to an orchard located nearby and set it on fire. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
