This year, the Youth Prize will be given for civic activism as well, besides prizes in technology-science and literature-arts. Even if the civic activism area is new, most of the applications have been submitted for this division, senior consultant with the Youth Program Division Diana Moraru has told Info-Prim Neo. The aim of the contest is to promote and support the young people and youth organizations. “Twelve applications have been filed so far, but many persons contact us and I'm sure more applications will be lodged during the last days,” Diana Moraru said. Prizes will be offered to authors and to groups of authors. The applications will be processed by an examination commission that will include specialists from the relevant areas. The six Youth Prize laureates will receive diplomas and awards of 12,000 lei. The deadline for applications is October 15.
