Zimbru and Speranta appoint new coaches
Two more teams from the National Division changed coaches. Zimbru Chisinau appointed Oleg Fistican, while Veaceslav Rusnac will take charge of Speranta Crihana Veche, Info-Prim Neo.
37 year old Fistican returns to the team where he made his breakthrough in professional football. As a player, he won 5 titles and 2 Moldovan Cups with Zimbru between 1995 and 2001. Between 2009 and 2011 he coached Zimbru’s youth team. This year, he was the manager of Moldova’s U17s.
Rusnac is 37 years old as well. He will replace Igor Ursachi at Speranta Crihana Veche, where he will be assisted by Andrei Matiura. The duo worked together this season at Academia Chisinau. The National Division debutants are in financial problems after owner Ion Groza announced he couldn’t afford the team’s upkeep anymore.
Meanwhile, Nistru Otaci remain without a head coach after Lilian Popescu left the club because of poor results. A group of key players left the team as well, claiming they didn’t receive their wages. However, Nistru managed their first victory in the league and chairman Vasile Traghira assured that the team would be unaffected by the conflict and would continue to play.
