The second batch of 250 tonnes of diesel fuel from the State Reserve has begun to be received by Moldova Railways (CFM). The delivery is carried out by the Agency for Material Reserves, based on a government directive, IPN reports.
According to CFM, the received diesel is being stored at the company’s branches in Chisinau, Ocnita, Balti, Ungheni, and Basarabeasca. It is intended to ensure the transport of goods and passengers. The resulting revenues are expected to contribute to the accumulation of the necessary salary fund of approximately 30 million lei for the payment of employee salaries for September 2024.
The first batch of 250 tonnes of diesel from the State Reserve was used for transporting 84.5 thousand tonnes of cargo, performing maneuver operations, and transporting passengers. These activities generated revenues of 16.4 million lei, which were directed towards settling outstanding salary payments for August 2024.
