The agreement was signed today in Chisinau between the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary. “This initiative is an important step towards strengthening the friendly ties between our countries and underlines the joint commitment to promote sustainable development in the agricultural sector,” said Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea.

Today we will visit a cattle farm that imported breeding stock from Hungary and we will see the conditions of maintenance and feeding,” stated the official.

For his part, Hungarian Minister Istvan Nagy said that Moldova is the country of possibilities for Hungary. “I say this based on the statements of Hungarian companies operating in the Republic of Moldova, which are satisfied and want to develop further. This Memorandum comes to confirm and ensure the sustainability of relations between the two countries. Hungary will provide all support to the Republic of Moldova in the process of joining the EU. We are interested in the cooperation between the two states to be successful,” stated Istvan Nyga.

Over the next five years, the Republic of Moldova and Hungary will exchange knowledge and experiences related to the integration into the European Union, promote sustainable agricultural practices, support organic production, strengthen research efforts and amplify trade relations.

The document also provides for the integration of Hungarian companies into the development of the Moldovan Farm program, providing a solid framework for the mutually beneficial growth and development of the agricultural sector. Through this cooperation, they aim to improve the efficiency and sustainability of farms in the Republic of Moldova and to also stimulate innovation and adopt the best agricultural practices.
