Moldtelecom complies with prescription of competition watchdog
The tariffs on fixed-line telephone services will not be raised from March 1 as planned. SA Moldtelecom has announced that it will obey the prescription of the National Agency for Competition Protection, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“Moldtelecom, as economic entity that observes the legislation of Moldova and fulfills its obligations towards the clients, officially states that it will comply with the Agency’s prescription No. APD-14-11/15 of February 23, 2011, whereby SA Moldtelecom was obliged to suspend the adjustment of the tariffs on fixed-line phone services,” the national telephone carrier says in a communiqué.
Moldtelecom expresses its gratitude to the clients that already signed new contracts for switching over to new fixed-line telephone packages. The company pledges to provide additional information about the launch of the fixed-line telephone tariff adjustment process.
The tariffs will remain unchanged until the National Agency for Competition Protection and the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology finish their separate inspections at Moldtelecom and propose solutions.
