13 questions for Dorin Chirtoaca from Igor Dodon
The Communist Party’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau Igor Dodon
addressed 13 questions to his opponent representing the Liberal Party
Dorin Chirtoaca on May 13 at 13.00, in Chirtoaca’s absence. Igor Dodon
intended to put the questions at a public debate in the presence of
voters, but the current mayor did not answer the invitation, Info-Prim
Neo reports.
“During meetings, the voters ask questions that can be answered only by
those who managed the City Hall during four years. Thus, I decided to
invite Dorin Chirtoaca to this meeting and put him publicly at least
several of the questions asked by Chisinau residents and then to discuss
solutions to the related problems,” said the Communist candidate.
Igor Dodon asked Dorin Chirtoaca to say why 20 million lei was needed to
repair Alba Iulia St, why new trolleybuses were purchased before the
election campaign and why he lied to the young people about the First
House Program as they do not have the level of salary required by the
program.
“Why do the inhabitants of Chisinau pay more and more for public
utilities? Why do the heat charges for household users rise? Why, Mister
Chirtoaca, did you spend almost 1 billion lei with no real, long-term
effect, on the pretext of rehabilitating the Wastewater Treatment
Station and Valea Morilor Park? Why the issue of unauthorized waste
dumps and the problem of stray dogs have not been yet solved? Why did
you annul the public transport concessions for pensioners, invalids and
students?” These are a part of the questions which Igor Dodon wanted
Dorin Chirtoaca to answer.
“I presume that Mister Chirtoaca will again blame the situation, rain,
frost, drought, the Government, the Communists, the black cat that
crossed the road in front of him, but will not accept that he, as Mayor
General of Chisinau, is directly responsible and, thus, to blame for
what happened in the municipality,” said Igor Dodon.
A number of supporters of Dorin Chirtoaca came to the meeting and
started to argue with the sympathizers of Igor Dodon.
