The Government will allocate almost 210,000 lei from its reserve fund for carrying out activities dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the pullout of the troops from Afghanistan, IPN reports.

The money is allocated for organizing the festive concert and meeting and a military-protocol ceremonial at the Memorial Complex “Holy Memory to the Motherland’s Sons”.

February was declared the month of commemoration of the victims of the Afghan war. More than 10,000 Moldovans were sent to the war in Afghanistan. Over 300 of them didn’t return, while almost 600 were injured.
