A number of 46 parties and sociopolitical organizations can take part in the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019. Such a decision was taken by the Central Election Commission (CEC) in its December 11 meeting, IPN reports.
CEC president Alina Russu said the leaders of 25 of the 46 entities have their mandates expired. If the mandates are not renewed, the given leaders will be unable to represent the party or organization in the relations with the electoral authorities.
According to the Public Services Agency, 61 political parties are now registered in Moldova.
