A number of 72 families from Soroca district on February 16 received the keys to the social apartments provided to these. The recipients are families with many children, young specialists working for state institutions and persons with disabilities, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
Attending the handover ceremony, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said more social investments will be made in the course of this year. They will also do new reforms designed for the people. A project will be soon launched to help the young families purchase the first home.
The 72 social apartments were built with financial support from the Council of Europe Development Bank. The total cost of the project is about €2.2 million, 35% of which is the contribution of the Soroca District Council. The apartments are ready for being occupied.
