Veronica Abramciuc and Valentin Krylov were excluded from the executive of the Party of Socialists (PSRM), not yet from the party, the leader of the PSRM Igor Dodon said after the June 4 meeting of the National Council, IPN reports.
In a press briefing, Igor Dodon said the Socialists will not yield to blackmail and will not support the current government. According to him, Abramciuc and Krylov asked for this themselves. “How can one say that they are for Eurasian integration, but support a pro-European government? This is an internal problem that can be solved at internal level. Those who do not agree with the opinion of the majority can state their views inside the party,” said the leader of the PSRM.
In a news conference earlier the same day, Valentin Krylov, who was removed from the post of executive secretary, said the National Council of the Party of Socialists cannot exclude president of honor Veronica Abramciuc from the party, according to the statutes.
In the May 29 meeting of the PSRM’s National Council, 13 members of the 40 announced that they created the socialist platform “Patria-Rodina”.
