The Political Bloc ACUM is further disposed to discuss the package of legislative proposals on the de-oligarchization of the state, including the annulment of the mixed electoral system, which does not imply the formation of a government coalition with the PSRM. The position is presented in a press statement that was broadcast shortly after the PSRM invited the bloc to discussions on the formation of a parliamentary majority, IPN reports.
The statement says the discussions with the Socialist group are possible on a transparent parliamentary platform and if there is a firm public commitment on the part of the PSRM to remove the current mafia regime. “As to the invitation made today by the Social parliamentary group, the bloc ACUM remains consistent in its commitment to free the state from the captivity of the oligarchic regime,” runs the statement.
To achieve the aforementioned, the bloc ACUM demands again to immediately resume the Parliament sitting and to return to the legal and constitutional framework. ACUM registered the application that is addressed to the Socialist MP Eduard Smirnov, who was empowered to chair the Parliament constitution sitting that was interrupted for an indefinite period.
The Party of Socialists invited the political bloc ACUM to discuss the formation of a parliamentary majority, constitution of the government coalition and investing of a functional government for Moldova and its people on April 11, starting at 11am, in hall No. 508 of the Parliament’s annex. The PSRM delegated the party’s leader Zinaida Grechanyi, executive secretary Vlad Batrîncea and Ion Ceban to take part in the consultations.
