The daily allowances for children in placement services as of April 1 will be indexed by 13.94%, according to the annual rise in the consumer price index for the previous year, IPN reports.

Under a decision approved by the Government, the daily allowances will be raised for children in professional parental assistance services, family type children’s homes, community homes for children in situations of risk and placement centers for children separated from parents and those under tutelage. The rise is from 13 to 15 lei on ordinary days, from 113 to 129 lei on the child’s birthday and from 80 to 92 lei on bank holidays.

The money needed for the purpose was planned in the 2022 state budget and totals 13.9 million lei.
