Almost all ministers in new Cabinet known
The president of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) and Prime Minister designate Vlad Filat on Thursday evening announced the names of the ministers who will head six of the seven ministries for which they are responsible in the new Government, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the leader of the PLDM, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca, Minister of Justice Alexandru Tanase and Minister of Finance Veaceslav Negruta will keep their posts.
Mihai Shleahtitski will be the new Minister of Education, Vasile Bumacov will head the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, while Adrian Usatyi will lead the Ministry of Health.
Vlad Filat said the name of the new Minister of the Interior will be made known on Friday morning.
Though there were not made the official presentations, the ministers of the other two parties that form part of the ruling alliance are also known.
Within the Democratic Party, Valeriu Lazar will continue to serve as Minister of the Economy, Marcel Raducanu as Minister of Regional Development and Constructions, while Boris Focsa as Minister of Culture. Pavel Filip will be the new Minister of Information and Communication Technology.
Vitalie Marinuta, of the Liberal Party, will continue to head the Ministry of Defense, while Gheorghe Salaru and Ion Cebanu, of the same party, as Minister of the Environment and Minister of Youth respectively.
The members of the new Cabinet are to be presented on Friday, January 14, in the Parliament's sitting that starts at 12 noon. Premier designate Vlad Filat will also render the government program.
