President Nicolae Timofti conferred the Order of Honor on the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Chinua to Moldova Tong Mingtao in gratitude for his contribution to developing the relations between the two states, IPN reports.

According to the presidential press service, Nicolae Timofti and Tong Mingtao had a meeting at the State Residence on July 3, on the occasion of the completion of the ambassador’s duties.

The head of state thanked the ambassador for his activity that contributed to substantially strengthening the Moldovan-Chinese relations. He pleaded for further developing the bilateral cooperation in such areas as agriculture, transport and infrastructure.
