Prime Minister Iurie Leanca had separate meetings with the Ambassador of France Gerard Guillonneau and the Ambassador of Germany Matthias Meyer on the occasion of the completion of their diplomatic mission in Moldova, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
The Premier discussed with the ambassadors the bilateral relations, Moldova’s European agenda and the attraction of French and German investments to Moldova. Iurie Leanca told the diplomats about the efforts made by the authorities to reform the justice sector, to fight corruption and to ensure transparency in the banking system.
The Prime Minister said that he counts on the extension of the foreign investment into Moldova. He thanked the two diplomats for the progress made in the bilateral relations and for the support officered by Germany and France to Moldova on its path to European integration.
For his part, Ambassador Matthias Meyer said the Moldovan-German relations developed significantly over the last two years. Ambassador Gerard Guillonneau highlighted Moldova’s openness and special attention in the relations with France and the International Organization of the Francophonie.
Gerard Guillonneau has worked in Moldova since 2011, while Matthias Meyer – since 2012.
