Head of Parliament Andrian Candu said if frauds were committed in the banking sector, these will be identified and those to blame  will be held accountable. The losses will be recovered within possibilities, but the people should be assured that they will not be affected by these frauds. In the talk show “Moldova live” on the public TV channel, the Speaker noted that he banks on the investigation conducted by the contracted foreign companies, IPN reports.

Andrian Candu stated he is sure that the persons who committed the frauds will be brought to justice because the current technologies enable to trace everything. Even if documents were burned, as it is rumored, if the money was transferred through banks, this operation remains registered. The international investigation will be independent and correct and the losses may be recovered.

“I rely a lot on the results of the investigation carried out by the specialized companies. The process can last for half a year, but these investigators, who are impartial persons and don’t care who governs, will finally produce a result. I personally saw several reports of the kind, which contained thousands of pages and annexes with the list of persons involved, the schemes used and even all the assets and where the money was capitalized,” he said, noting that those to blame will not escape punishment.

Andrian Candu also said that the fight against corruption and the continuation of reforms remain top priorities for the current government because the pro-European parties were given a second chance in the elections of last November. If the authorities disappoint the people and do not meet their expectations, they will get no other chance.
