German Chancellor Angela Merkel's official visit agenda on August 22 includes meetings with Prime Minister Vlad Filat and President Nicolae Timofti, the Moldovan Government's press service revealed. The meeting with Vlad Filat will be followed by a joint press conference. The German Chancellor will also hold meetings with leaders of parliamentary political parties. Further, Angela Merkel will deliver a public speech in the Palace of the Republic and will take part in a flower-laying ceremony at the statue of Stephen the Great. Angela Merkel is coming to Chisinau on the invitation of Vlad Filat.
