Another U.S. senator on visit to Moldova

U.S. Senator Bob Corker arrived in Moldova on April 21 for a two-day visit. During his trip, Senator Corker will meet with Moldovan government officials and parliamentarians. He will also travel to Gagauzia, where he will meet with officials of the autonomous region, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the U.S. Embassy.

Senator Corker was elected to the U.S. Senate from the state of Tennessee in 2006. He is a member of the Republican Party and ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. This is his first visit to Moldova.

A U.S. Congressional delegation visited Moldova last week. It included Senators John McCain, John Barrasso, John Hoeven, and Ron Johnson.
