“Antimafie” Movement calls on diaspora not to vote for ruling parties

The People’s Movement “Antimafie” (MPA) made a call to the Moldovans from abroad, urging them not to vote for the ruling parties, which are ‘false pro-European’. The Movement’s deputy head Daniela Bodrug, in a news conference at IPN, said the geopolitical stake of the elections is only an electoral trick of these parties, employed to attract votes.

“The fifth column of Russia in Moldova will manage to achieve its goals and will only impede the European integration process if blackmailable and corrupt people and mafia clans come to power in Moldova. Ghimpu, Filat and Leanca are not the leaders of your European dream and of your dream to come home. They serve the mafia interests of Plahotniuc. Each vote for the People’s Movement “Antimafie” will strengthen the prospect of becoming a civilized state in the European family,” stated Daniela Bodrug. She remaindered that half of the first ten candidates for MP on the Movement’s list are persons who returned home from abroad.

MPA member Igor Buneanu, who returned home from France, supported the message of Daniela Bodrug. “I returned home a year ago and became involved in the Movement’s field work. I call on you not to believe the lies that all the parties tell you, starting with the Liberal Party, the Liberal Democratic Party and the Democratic Party,” he stated.

“I returned home from Brussels, Belgium, to support the People’s Movement “Antimafie” because I want to live in a prosperous and civilized Moldova,” stated Vladimir Stati, a candidate on the list of the MPA. Alexei Tudoreanu, who returned from Greece, said he joined the MPA in order to fight the injustices that he experienced as a migrant, while Mihail Stratan, who returned form Italy, said that he could not start a business in Moldova because the agricultural subsidies are distributed based on political criteria and he joined the MPA in order to help change this system

“I went to work in the UK 14 years ago. I returned to Moldova and joined the People’s Movement “Antimafie”. Together with my colleagues we went through Moldova’s settlements and what we saw there was something very sad. What these mafias build in Moldova does not look like Europe. Believe me as I know what Europe looks like,” said MPA candidate Carolin Veliscu.

The representatives of the MPA said they will continue to give news conference daily, until the end of the election campaign.
