President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev accepted the invitation of the Moldovan side to pay an official visit to Moldova. The issue was discussed by Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman and Ilham Aliyev in a meeting in Baku, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué of the Foreign Ministry, Ilham Aliyev accepted the Moldovan side’s proposals concerning the economic cooperation, both by holding a meeting of the joint commission on economic cooperation this year in Baku and by organizing a mission of Azeri businessmen to Chisinau in the near future.

The sides expressed reciprocal interest in developing joint projects and attracting Azeri investments to Moldova in such areas as road infrastructure, energy and the agrifood sector.
